To enable students to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the school's overseas exchange programs, facilitate their smooth participation in overseas studies, and broaden their international horizons, the Business School organized an information session for overseas programs at the East Coast Campus on the afternoon of March 15, 2025. Over 200 students enthusiastically attended the event.
At the outset of the session, Ms. Jiang Jiamei from the International Affairs Office provided an in-depth interpretation of the Business School's existing overseas study programs. She elaborated on the characteristics, support policies, selection criteria, application procedures, and frequently asked questions of various programs, equipping students with systematic and comprehensive project information and application guidance, thereby enabling them to be better prepared and planned for future overseas studies.
The information session also featured two students from the School who had previously participated in exchange programs, sharing their experiences. Huang Shaohua, who studied at HEC Montréal in Canada, vividly recounted her academic life, cultural exchanges, and gains during her time in Canada. She encouraged students to proactively seize opportunities, engage actively in various faculty-student interactions and extracurricular activities, delve deeply into the local campus and societal culture, and cultivate their own international perspectives. Chen Lei, who exchanged at Chosun University in South Korea, shared her learning experiences in Korea and advocated for students participating in overseas exchanges to serve as bridges for cultural and academic exchanges, uphold cultural confidence, promote Chinese culture, and fully showcase the distinctive features and strengths of Shantou University and the Business School.
During the interactive Q&A session, students actively raised questions and engaged in in-depth discussions with the Foreign Affairs Office staff and the senior students. The atmosphere was lively, and all participants expressed that they had gained significant insights.
This information session provided a platform for students to learn about overseas study programs, sparking their interest and enthusiasm for overseas learning. It is believed that in the future, more students will further broaden their international horizons through overseas study programs, continuously enhance their comprehensive qualities, and shine brilliantly on the international stage with their unique talents.
